For Teachers

Why Schools are Choosing the Howie Games Education Program

Developed in partnership with Mark “Howie” Howard — host of Australia’s #1 sports podcast, The Howie Games — and leading educators in student wellbeing and mental health, this unique education program delivers fresh, curriculum-aligned lessons designed for real classrooms and real impact.

Each lesson provides an engaging audio-visual experience, guided by Howie himself. Through powerful, real-life stories from some of Australia’s most respected athletes, artists, and public figures, students are inspired to reflect, grow, and connect in meaningful ways.

What Makes the Program Stand Out

Core Themes
The program focuses on four key areas of personal and social development:

  • Emotional Regulation
  • Anxiety Management
  • Social Understanding
  • Zest for Life

Collaborative Learning
Lessons are designed to encourage students to work together, reflect as a group, and build emotional awareness through shared experiences and guided discussion.

Differentiated Activities
All activities are inclusive and adaptable, allowing teachers to engage students at varying levels of ability, age, and emotional development.

High Engagement Through Story
Each lesson features authentic stories from The Howie Games — stories that students genuinely connect with. These moments of vulnerability, resilience, success and failure are rich with learning, offering a highly engaging way to explore wellbeing topics.

Insightful Wellbeing Data
A built-in data tool helps schools track individual student wellbeing, providing valuable insights that inform targeted support, intervention, and program refinement.

A Simple, Effective Instructional Model

Every lesson follows the I Do, We Do, You Do framework:

I Do – Students engage with a selected Howie Games video episode. Howie pauses throughout to prompt reflection and connect back to the lesson’s intention.

We Do – Students share their reflections in pairs, small groups or as a class. Teachers guide the conversation to deepen understanding and explore key themes.

You Do – Students complete a targeted activity that reinforces the learning and gives them the opportunity to apply what they’ve discovered.

This program is ideal for principals, wellbeing leaders, and educators seeking meaningful, engaging, and practical ways to build emotional and social intelligence in students. It offers schools a powerful tool to support student growth and wellbeing.

Access starts at just $9 per student for 12 lessons (minimum of 150 students).

Let the power of real stories help your students become more resilient, self-aware, and socially connected.
